Centrally located and within walking distance to Denny Triangle, South Lake Union, Belltown, and Downtown, the Martin, a 24-story, 188-unit, mixed-use Vulcan project, has achieved Gold certification under LEED® New Construction v2009.  The design utilizes a range of energy and water-efficient systems, such as water loop heat pumps, high-efficiency space, and water heating boilers, ENERGY STAR® appliances, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and lighting occupancy sensors in almost all common spaces. O’Brien360 was the LEED consultant on the project and provided design support to the team, including providing our

extensive knowledge of multi-family systems and construction.  General LEED guidance and management helped guide both the design team and construction team to achieving Gold, over the original Silver target.  We were also asked to provide a “spot-check” verification of a handful of units, including compartmentalization testing, ventilation flow commissioning, and water fixture flows, among other measures.
