Plymouth Housing Group (PHG) developed the Pat Williams Apartments, an 84-unit building certified Platinum under LEED for Homes Mid-Rise. O’Brien360 facilitated the sustainable design charrette and was the LEED for Homes Mid-Rise Provider and Green Rater.  We provided PHG with a decision matrix to identify synergistic green building strategies to achieve multiple performance outcome goals. We completed design phase documentation verification, as well as the field verification and performance testing and final project certification.

This work included rough-in infiltration testing of pilot units, which identified key leakage areas that were then addressed at source during build out. O’Brien360 also identified excessive ventilation conditions and worked with the project team to reduce the delivered flow in each unit.  These steps helped the project to save energy, reduce operational costs, and improve thermal comfort.
