The University of Washington wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ-Intellectual House had its grand opening in March 2015. This building is a longhouse-style facility on the UW Seattle campus that provides a multi-service learning and gathering space for Native American students, faculty and staff, as well as others from various cultures and communities to come together in a welcoming environment to share knowledge. The center supports Native American students’ ability to remain involved in their home tribes and communities through its social and academic programs and symbolic design. O’Brien360 provided LEED® Construction Administrative services on this exciting project, including issuing LEED construction documentation instructions to the project team, attending construction meetings to ensure LEED compliance and understanding, reviewing the final construction documentation submittals, and facilitating responses and clarifications with the USGBC.
