Hao joined O’Brien360 in June 2024 with a technical background in energy and sustainability. He is an advanced user of EnergyPlus whole building energy simulation software, and familiar with analytical methods and building envelope concepts. He has experience with assessing the potential for demand response participation of residential buildings. Hao also has expertise in combined energy and daylight modeling of buildings for use in predicting the ability of commercial buildings to participate in demand response to support electric grid reliability. He is currently working on completing numerous evaluations of existing and new building performance for measurement, verification, and energy code compliance.
