Jireh has a technical background in engineering and renewable energy. He is an advanced user of BEopt, eQUEST/DOE-2.2, and OpenStudio/EnergyPlus whole building energy simulation software. He is well-versed in other analytical methods, such as regression analysis and machine learning. He has completed numerous evaluations of existing and new building performance for applications such as measurement and verification, energy code compliance, and green building certifications, such as LEED® and Built Green.

Jireh enjoys developing new tools to help improve O’Brien360’s analysis workflow, such as spreadsheets to aggregate vast amounts of simulation or utility meter data, and a database of energy simulation results that enables analysts to check their model results against past benchmarks quickly. Most recently, Jireh has played an essential role in testing the 2019 version of CBECC-Com, which incorporates the latest EnergyPlus v9.0.1 simulation engine.
